Spirit of the Prairie Park lies along one-half mile of the railroad right-of-way on the west side of Deer Trail.  The park, a joint project of the Deer Trail Jockeyettes and the Town of Deer Trail, was completed in 1995 and offers picnic tables and benches, a sand volleyball court, basketball court, and a bike path. 

Centennial Park, developed in 1962, offers a picnic area, playground, and pavilion.  The park, located on Second Avenue, is also home to the Deer Trail Pioneer Historical Museum.
