TOWN OF DEER TRAIL, COLORADO BOARD OF TRUSTEES Special Meeting June 15, 2004
CALL TO ORDER
The Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail met in special session on June 15, 2004 at the Town Hall, 555 Second Avenue, Deer Trail, Colorado. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tink Rector at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting was to consider issuance of four water and four sewer permits to Jan Brummond in East Ridge Addition and to consider purchase of a new tractor. ROLL CALL Mayor: Tink Rector Trustees Present: Gary Lavoie, Russell Ness, Tami Stoumbaugh, Dutch Venter Staff Present: Patti Owens, Town Clerk Public Present: Jan Brummond EAST RIDGE ADDITION
The Board discussed drainage, gravel, and streetlights at East Ridge Addition. TRUSTEE LAVOIE MOVED, TRUSTEE NESS SECONDED to approve four water and four sewer taps, Block 18, Lots, 5, 6, 7, and 8 in East Ridge Addition. Voting was as follows: YES: Lavoie, Ness, Rector, Stoumbaugh, Venter NO: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: Haight, Wood The Mayor declared the motion carried. Trustee Ness will select two electric poles on which to have IREA install streetlights. The Town Clerk will contact IREA about the installation. TRACTOR PURCHASE
The Board compared four bids for a tractor, mower, and loader to replace the one currently owned by the Town. Bids were from three John Deere dealers: Kay Jan, Inc., Burlington; Strasburg Equipment; and McArthur Implement, Burlington, and a Kubota dealer, Postestio Brothers Equipment, Denver. TRUSTEE LAVOIE MOVED, TRUSTEE STOUMBAUGH SECONDED to purchase a 4710 John Deere tractor, loader, and six-foot rotary cutter from Strasburg Equipment, with trade-in, for a price of $21,000. Voting was as follows: YES: Ness, Rector, Stoumbaugh, Venter, Lavoie NO: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: Haight, Wood The Mayor declared the motion carried. The tractor will not be available for loan or personal use. ADJOURNMENT
